4th day is the heart and soul of the Cursillo movement. It is a reminder that we are called to action as we serve our parishes and communities and share God's love with people both inside and outside the church. Living your 4th Day requires active participation in both Group Reunion and Ultreya.
The Group Reunion is a small group, usually 4-6 people who meet weekly to share their piety, study and action with one another. They pray with and for one another. These people are the ones who often know you best, and who keep you closest to Christ in your fourth day.
Ultreya is where members of the group reunions come together as a larger community to pray together, read the Word of God, have access to spiritual direction, share, inspire, and encourage one another to persevere in your Fourth Day. For those Cursillistas that have not yet joined or formed a group reunion, it enables them to connect with other Cursillistas to form these groups that meet weekly.

One of the unique aspects of the Cursillo Movement is the ability to come together regularly with others who are working to include God in the everyday moments of their lives. Through planned meetings we come to know one another and encourage one another in our efforts to live the primary Charism of the Cursillo Movement which is to help Christians to be Christian.
There are ways to do this regularly within the Cursillo Movement: Please note that these groups are for anyone who is interested in ongoing Spiritual Formation. You do not have to have made a Cursillo Weekend in order to attend Group Reunion and Ultreya.
Group Reunions are small groups of men or small groups of women who meet regularly in order to share the spiritual journey. In the Philadelphia Cursillo we have new groups forming all the time. We also have groups that have been meeting regularly for over twenty years.
Ultreya is the Spanish Word meaning “keep on going”. Ultreya are made up of both male and females in the area coming together to share their Spiritual Formation. We are also encouraged to visit Ultreyas from other areas.
